French Quarter
Louisiana natives and father & son team, Mike and Mike, share their
southern hospitality with you on their outdoor veranda. The French Quarter's
menu offers a traditional Cajun cuisine prepared with a Caribbean flare.
Entree prices range from $8.50 to $25.95. All dishes are served with southern
sides like twice baked garlic potatoes and Cajun steamed veggies. Friday
nights Mike Sr. offers a slow cooked rack of baby-back ribs that is heavenly.
For dessert, be sure to leave room for the Margarita cheesecake. All major

Guido's
This family owned and operated restaurant offers southern and central
Italian cuisine that is romantically complimented by the outdoor courtyard
and gentle evening breeze. Guido's famous lasagna and garlic bread are
the way to anyone's heart. The catch of the day is not to be missed. Be
sure to share a pitcher of authentic Spanish sangria with fresh fruit.
For dessert, try the banana supreme and a cup of cafe. Entrees range from
$7 to $25. American Express is the only credit card accepted but traveler's
checks, pesos and cash are always welcome. Located on Av. Rafael Melgar
on the southern end.

Casa Denis
This is one of the few restaurants that have weathered the many years
of love and luck in Cozumel. The local family that prides itself in this
establishment has photos of the decades of famous visitors on its wall
including Jackie O and Fidel Castro. The traditional Yucatan dishes are
sure to please. Just be careful of the hot sauce! A friendly place not
only for the stomach, but for the wallet, too. Breakfast, lunch and dinner
choices range from $3 to $15. Try the traditional Arroz con leche for
dessert or a morning snack. In the mornings this is the place to eat delicious
tacos! If you are unsure about what to order, just ask the English-speaking
locals that are surrounding the cook. Casa Denis is located in the main
plaza.

La Choza
In the beginning of Cozumel's glory days, there were only a few places
that could draw a crowd and La Choza was one of them! The lines went around
the block. Today, they still serve the same delicious menu! Breakfast,
Lunch and Dinner 7 days a week! You are greeted with a bowl of salsa verde
and homemade chips along with La Choza's secret sauce. It's SPICEY but
you have to try it once! If you want to try REAL Mexican food in a friendly
family atmosphere then this is the place. La Choza also serves one of
the best margaritas on the island. Breakfast menu prices range $2- $7
and lunch and dinner from $3-$17. Located on the corner of A.R.Salas and
10 Ave. Open 7am to 11pm.

El Moro
It's not likely you will be able to find this great eatery on your own
and, once you do, you may think you have the wrong spot! Fear not! It
is set in a local neighborhood. Just ask a taxi cab to take you there.
El Moro is another one of Cozumel's oldest restaurants and has been
around since before the island became the tourist destination that it
is today.
The menu is very extensive and covers just about anything you might
crave -- from fish and chicken to Mexican steaks, soups, sandwiches
and tasty Mayan dishes. The special of the day is usually fresh fish
cooked to your liking.
Your hosts at El Moro love to take care their guests and look forward
to serving you. All major credit cards, taveler's checks, pesos and
U.S. cash are accepted. They are located on 75 Bis between 2nd Street
and 4th street and are open for lunch and dinner, Friday-Wednesday from
1 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Prima's
If you like northern Italian handmade pastas, fresh-baked bread, US
Choice Grade A steaks and rich seafood, then Prima's is the place for
you! It is located on the corner of the plaza on AR Salas and 5th Ave,
upstairs. Dining on the rooftop in paradise is just what the vacation
doctor ordered!
Prima's tends to fill up fast and in high season there is usually a
wait. But just relax, have a cocktail, and enjoy the sights and sounds
of the plaza because it's well worth it. The homemade desserts are the
first thing to go so be sure to get there early if you want to sample
the peanut butter pie. Juan Carlos, the general manager, is almost always
on hand to visit with you about the menu, the island, or your favorite
dive spot.

Del Museo
A visit to the Cozumel museum is always a great way to begin your vacation
on the island. But, did you know they also serve a wonderful breakfast?
Every day from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. you can enjoy watching the ships and
fishing boats come and go as you get started with cinnamon coffee, fresh
tropical fruit and huevos a la Mexican. Besides the typical breakfast
fare, there are also interesting Mexican dishes that you must try, like
cactus.

They are located on the main avenue by the waterfront, above the museum.

La Cocay
A new beginning for an old favorite! La Cocay used to be located near the Corpus Christi Church but they have moved to a new
locatin that offers a modern and romantic atmosphere. Each entree is carefully prepared for you and artistically presented in
such a way that you hate to mess it up by eating it. And the chocoloate brownie is well worth saving room for, but be prepared
to wait 20 minutes while it is FRESH BAKED. Menu prices range from $6 to $40 US. You'll want to call ahead for reservation because
this local favorite gets quite crowded -- 872-5533.
Hours of operation are from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Visa and American Express, as well as pesos and US cash are accepted.
