Getting to Eagle Ray Divers from the mainland

All of our trips leave from La Caleta Marina, just south of town. If you are visiting Cozumel and Eagle Ray Divers:

From Playa del Carmen & Riviera Maya

Make your way down to the water front and purchase a ferry ticket to Cozumel (about $13.50 USD or $150 pesos one way and a 30 minute ride). When you arrive at Cozumel you will walk to the end of the pier and take one of the many waiting taxi cabs. Have the driver take you to the La Caleta Marina. We are located on the left hand side of the marina at the boats Miguelito and Chucho Vivas. The ferry pier is a quick 10 minutes from the marina where our office and boats are located. The taxi ride is approximately $8-10 US dollars for 1-4 people.

From Cancun Airport

From the Cancun airport or your hotel in Cancun or the Riviera Maya, you will need to make your way by rental car, taxi or bus to Playa Del Carmen. Once in Playa walk down to the water and purchase a ferry ticket to Cozumel (about $13.50 USD or $150 pesos one way and a 30 minute ride). Below is the bus schedule for Riviera busline located in the south terminal of the Cancun airport.

In Playa del Carmen you will get off the bus, walk down to the waterfront ferry office and get on the ferry to Cozumel. The cost is roughly $13.50 USD ($150 pesos) per person one way and takes about 30 minutes.

When you arrive in Cozumel, you will see taxis to the left at the end of the pier which will take you anywhere on the island. It is a very easy process and takes about 2.5 hours from Cancun's hotel zone or airport.

By Taxi

Arrange the night before with the hotel reception or concierge for a taxi to pick you up at the hotel and drive you directly to Playa Del Carmen where you will purchase your ferry ticket to Cozumel. Once in Cozumel you will take any taxi to the marina - just as it is outlined in steps 3 and 4 above.

Ferry Schedule Please keep in mind that ferry times may vary slightly. It is wise to arrive 15 to 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time. The cost is $13.50 USD each way but as with all prices listed for the ferry and buses, it's subject to change without any prior notice.
